EXPECTATIONS

College has developed the following set of expectations. All students will be able to:

  • Take responsibility for their own learning in the class learning environment.
  • Show respect for themselves and all other members of the community.
  • Develop an understanding of mutual rights and the need to respect property.
  • Discipline is developed from this set of expectations. The school aims to provide a caring environment where the needs of students are responded to in a way which is appropriate to the individual student.

To have a rigid set of school rules often negates that approach. Nonetheless, there are certain obligations, inherent in the expectations, which we require students to accept. The College will respond through a range of procedures when these obligations are not accepted.

Pastoral Care is equally an integral part of this process.. Caring for students, and for the whole community, means that for us to function effectively certain obligations and expectations need to be met. On occasions, however, additional support is required.

    For that purpose:

  • The College encourages regular contact with parents
  • Year Level Coordinators are appointed at all Levels
  • The College has access to a range of counseling services
  • Through our pastoral care program, we endeavour to make our discipline policy pro-active wherever possible.

Implicit in our policy is our Christian foundation, which teaches us that all students have a right to be here, each of us is an individual with rights and responsibilities, and all of us have a shared obligation to work together for the good of the community.

A part of the expectations of Students is to adhere to the College's Uniform policy. Information on the Uniform policy, prices and where uniform items are available can be found here: Boys Uniform / Girls Uniform.
